Mexico El Triunfo Biosphere

Located in the highlands of the Sierra Madres de Chiapas, is the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve. One of the few activities allowed in this rare and valuable sanctuary is organic farming. All coffee is shade grown and organic certified. Biological corridors have been created to facilitate bird and land animal migration. The COOP has worked closely with Heifer International to province livestock to their members. Other projects include working with Grounds For Health to develop a program of early detection and treatment of cervical cancer for women of the region. Bridgeport Coffee has been buying coffee from CESMACH for 16 years. Even during these challenging times of changing climate, this group of coffee farmers produce a high quality, pleasant, easy to drink cup year after year. The 22/23 harvest has just arrived and they’ve done it again.
