La Montaña is located near the town of Ataco in the Province of Ahuachapán in the Apaneca- Ilamatepec mountain range. It is a part of “La Ruta de las Flores” (the Trail of Flowers), which is a trail that takes travelers through five colonial towns and dense forests containing diverse flora and fauna. In the most mountainous region of El Salvador, La Montaña is dedicated exclusively to coffee, with the remainder of the land consisting of green forest and streams.

La Montaña is a sister farm with Finca El Milagro. The two farms, owned by Carlos Riera, have donated part of their land to a school that is used by more than one hundred children between the ages of 5 to 13.
